Great Weekend

Well this past weekend was great. Nick and I went to Rusty's to play games with him and his wife, Amanda, and our friend Tom and Rusty's sister, Jackie. It was a great time and it was great to see Rusty's place and see him and Amanda! Friday I got the day off so of course that was awesome just to be able to sleep in for once. Nick and I went swimming at the Dewitt pool with Rusty and Amanda that day and it was a fun time. That pool was so nice, i'd never been there before. I'll definitely be going back. We also ate with the Shelangoski's that night and played a great game of Bags outside, i'm in love with that game!

Saturday was just kind of a lazy day, we just hung out and didn't do a lot. Sunday we took Annabelle and Minnie (our dogs) to the lake and swam with them, so much fun, and they really loved it! I've definitely gotten tanner but some of me got burnt!

Nick is interviewing today for an entry level job for mowing the course at the Davenport Country Club, I'm hoping that he gets it and that he gets decent pay! I'm so ready to begin my life with Nicholas, hopefully that will happen soon! Well i hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend as well! Tonight i'm giving double reds at the blood bank, I try to give every 8 weeks to help people in need, you should all do it too! you never know when you'll need blood and if no one gave then you wouldn't have any when you needed it! Beautiful Day

Well today has been pretty awesome so far, see I work as a nanny and I watch only one child, she's almost 14 months. It's basically a cake walk job, today I'm only going to be working half a day and tomorrow I have off, but I get paid! See the people I work for are having their basement finished, and the contractor is drilling with a jack hammer today and tomorrow and so they don't want their baby around that sound so they're leaving and giving me the days off!! Although this job can sometimes get old and boring, I love the pay and most off all, every day that the people don't work, neither do I and I get paid! And I can't wait for December because the lady is having another baby and the husband will be taking 1-2 weeks off of work of which i will not work but be paid, and then Christmas will roll around where I will get one and a half weeks off paid as well! Did I mention I love this job!

Okay enough about that, After work today I plan on going to bug Nicholas, then probably working out to get it over with and then I'll probably go out to American and look at their chairs and their mattresses. Tonight I'm heading to my best friend's house, Rusty's to play games with him and his wife and Nicholas. It should be a blast, haven't been to their house since they've been married. It's so weird that he's married, but I'm very happy for him. I guess I'm getting older when my friends are getting married and having babies. Well I hope that everyone has a great weekend, and I'll update again soon!

TGIF!

Thank the Lord, it is finally Friday! I'm so happy! My parents are leaving today for my cousin's wedding in Northwest Iowa around noon, so I'm in charge of all the dogs, including my mom's little puppy, Gertie, she's a busy-body. Nick and I gave her a hair cut last night, she's a cute little yorkie, but it was hard to give her a cut when she wiggles all over the place, however, she looks good now. Hopefully Nick and I will make the trip out to see Cari and Kevin so we can check out the new addition, Cooper, along with Corbin and Justin as well. What a relief for them to finally have their new baby boy home. Not really sure what else will happen this weekend, but I'll report later on what actually went down. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Cooper is going home!

Today, little baby Cooper, who is now six weeks old today, is getting to go home! I'm so excited for him and Cari and Kevin, I know they've all waited so long. I can't imagine how hard it has been for all of them, to not get to take your baby home right away. I will see him for sure on Sunday for Jace's baptism party.

Last night Nick and I had dinner at his favorite, El Rodeo, it was delicious. We worked more on his resume, he's currently applying for a job in Thompson, IL for a park ranger through the government and for several jobs as a program technician in different towns in Iowa through the government as well. He also sent his resume into Cobham (used to be Carleton) on Hickory Grove road. I am hoping for anything, I hate to see him be discouraged, and it's hard to not be.

My job is going well, the baby I take care of, Cate, is almost 14 months old and is very busy. They are soon to have another baby, in late November, so then I will really have my hands full.

My First Blog

Hello Everyone, hope this doesn't bore you to death, but this is my first blog so I'll try and do my best to share some fun stuff. So last night, Nick and I hung out (I'm so glad he's home from school) and we worked on his resume. We're really hoping for a job soon! It's such a hard time right now to be getting a job, just figures that the time he gets out of school it's this awful time! I have faith that everything will work out though, it always does. After working on his resume we ate dinner and then headed to his house for our workout regime, we've been working out together at least a couple days a week for about an hour each time. Man was I sore last week, but I'm slowly getting used to it. I have needed to work out for a while, and it's so nice to have Nicholas there with me to keep me company.

Nicholas has been home for a couple months now and I've never been happier. The past 2 years were hard, that he wasn't here all the time, but now he's home! Nick is the love of my life and I don't know what I'd do without him!

In other news, Cari, Nick's sister, is supposed to be able to take her baby boy, Cooper, home tomorrow! I'm so excited for her, she's been so patient going back and forth to the hospital for over a month now. It's a great thing that we can do so much for the babies now, Cooper is doing so good now and he's a great addition to the family! I will have to add pictures of him later.

This weekend is the BIX but not sure if we're going to do anything with it, really unsure about this weekend all together. We might be going to see a movie at the IMAX because we got $2 off coupons for there. Well let me know what you think of my blog, whether or not it's too boring or whatever. Talk to you soon everyone!
